Kenwood Garners Multiple Nominations From Prestigious ProMax Games Awards

Acclaimed Agency Earns Recognition for Outstanding Promo Content & Best Trade or Consumer Event

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – April 17, 2017 – Kenwood Experiences, an award-winning experiential marketing agency in San Francisco, CA, has been nominated for multiple PromaxGAMES Awards. The nominations are for: Best Live Action Promotional Content, for the agency’s work on Square Enix’s clickbait video for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided; and Best Showing at a Trade or Consumer Event, for Square Enix’s global event Uncovered: Final Fantasy XV and for its work for Capcom at E3 2016.

The PromaxGAMES Awards honor the outstanding campaigns, spots, and social media innovations from the past year that delivered players, converted them into fans, and ultimately built brands that connect with the public across the world. Winners will be announced at the PromaxGAMES Summit on April 27, 2017.

For video game powerhouse Square Enix’s Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, Kenwood created two highly innovative and successful pre-release videos that brought the game to life by highlighting tension between augmented and non-augmented persons. Videos ran with click-bait style headlines and looked like real, captured moments. Easter eggs were hidden in the videos; an intriguing web address linked to the game’s website.

Also for Square Enix, Kenwood collaborated with the client team for a big launch of the new multi-media Final Fantasy XV franchise which included announcements about the much anticipated game, a surprise feature film, anime series and more. Kenwood crafted a live event with popular game bloggers and celebrities, and “uncovered” a series of revelations resulting in a global reach of 1.2 million viewers.

For Capcom, Kenwood created themed experiences for several key AAA titles. For the hotly anticipated Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, Kenwood turned the booth inside-out and created a structure that mirrored the game’s frightening house, which doubled as demo and meeting spaces. The other showstopper for Capcom was the life-sized inflatable balloon ripped right from Monster Hunter Generations. Audiences stepped inside the basket of the dirigible to play the game and experience the play brought to life.
